THE ANCIENT CANCUN |
| The
ancient Mayas called this land in Cancun, that is a “place of snakes”.
Perhaps in those days reptiles were here. Today it is one of the most
popular resorts in the world, which is included in the top five. Even
30 years ago this place was a small fishing village. But azure Caribbean
waters, white sandy beaches and coral reefs attracts here surfing and
diving. The enterprising American businessmen have not left it unattended,
this unique history and geographical location were transformed into a
paradise for lovers of active and exotic holiday. The so-called Nice
North America, a remarkable resort place, was built within a few years. The first acquaintance with Cancun began on board the aircraft. Through the window we could see snow-white braid in the form of the number 7, surrounded by waters with golf courses, swimming pools and tennis courts. Resort area of Cancun is more than 20 km. All the local beaches are the property of the federal government, so guests could easily visit them. Those who expect rest in these parts to be calm and quiet, must take a note – don’t even count on it. No silence! It seemed that the center of world tourism industry was just in Cancun. |
